Biography

Although the chances are next to nil that anyone will ever drop by to read these posts, I’m still going to give it a shot. I figure it is a good way to document my thoughts on what’s going on in the world, news & happenings that have some impact on me, what’s on in my mind at any given hour, observations and general rants. I’ve always liked writing and communicating (and the related inputs, causes and effects) and this looks like a great way to further that interest. We’ll see.

At the very least this blog will serve as an easy way to document all of this in a single repository that is easy to use, accessible and updatable from anywhere in the world, and incredibly lightweight (this site weighs less than 16 ounces.) Plus, entry of these thoughts into a computer is much more natural for me, as 19 years in front of a personal computer, 11 years of email and seven-plus-years working in the IT industry have stripped me of any ability I might have once had to write with pen and paper.

At the very best this blog will inspire world leaders to unite towards common goals - world peace, eradicating disease, ending world hunger – while also finding a way to control population growth as we tumble boldly toward these altruistic and lofty ends.

Yes I am aware of the political ramifications of actually documenting your thoughts and opinions on certain topics of the day (whether they be about major societal issues or the lack of even a quasi-authentic Irish pub in the Denver-metro area) but, rest assured, with my years of public relations training I am quite adept at making everybody happy without offending opposing parties, thus avoiding any appearance of having actually taken a side. That’s a joke. Kind of.

With that, I hope you find the writings here useful, entertaining, informative - or at least not a total waste of time. I welcome any and all comments you might have for me and look forward to wasting hours of my personal time putting words into sentences here.

PLEASE NOTE: If, in these pages, I alternate between AP style and general prose style – live with it.
